NATGEN COVID-19 RESPONSE
We hope that you and your families are safe and doing well. In our effort to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic and ease the stress and financial hardship faced by customers during this unprecedented time, National General is delivering a credit to personal auto, RV and motorcycle policyholders and committing $3M toward the support of COVID-19 relief efforts.
National General will apply a 15% credit to personal auto, RV and motorcycle insurance premiums, which will be applied automatically to those who have an in-force auto policy as of April 30, 2020. This credit will not impact a customer’s in-force coverage and will be visible in accounts in the near future.
National General’s commitment of $3M toward various COVID-19 relief efforts includes, but is not limited to, donations to select charitable organizations that support communities in which our policyholders, business partners and employees live and work.
In addition to the auto policy credit, we offer a number of other savings opportunities that we encourage customers to take advantage of – including our SmartDrive program, which provides an immediate discount to drivers who download and install an app. The SmartDrive program encourages better driving by reducing premiums for those who exhibit safe driving habits.
We also provide digital solutions to help you and your customers better navigate through the insurance landscape without requiring in-person contact. For example, MyClaimPics is a digital solution which expedites the auto claim process while providing a great experience to customers – making claim filing process easier while getting payments to customers much faster. You and your customers can also take advantage of our recent enhancements to e-signature which allow the customer to electronically submit their signature without setting up an online account.
While the full impact of the pandemic and stay-at-home guidelines on the auto insurance industry are unknown, we will continue to assess and adapt as more information becomes available.
